I don't know what treatment I need.
We offer a FREE 15 minute triage where you can talk to Alan Hughes, our senior practitioner who will assess your condition and advise you on the most appropriate treatment for you with NO OBLIGATION. Please arrange an appointment with reception for a time that will be convenient for you.
We are happy for you to call in personally or phone us on 01257 475747 or if you would prefer, e-mail us via this website by following the contact us link.
How many treatments will I need?
That all depends on what the problem is and how long you have been suffering with it. In many cases, we are able to treat muscular pain and trapped nerves within one session (1 hour), however, in cases such as sciatica or extreme back pain it may take a ½ hour follow-up maintenence treatment a week later.
Treatments involving physiotherapy for joint problems/ arthritis usually need a course of 6 - 8 treatments of 30 minutes duration.
Biomechanical treatments usually consist of an initial assessment, a fitting of prosthetics and a review.
Tackling stress and other conditions generally need a course of treatments for optimum results, but all this will be discussed during your initial assessment and you will be kept fully informed of any further treatment that is necessary.
If you would like an answer to a specific question, please email us and we will answer you as soon as possible.
What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?
When you arrive for your first appointment you will be given a consultation where you will be asked some medical or lifestyle questions and this will highlight any areas that may be a problem. We will talk it through with you and explain if any modifications to your treatment will be needed.
We will only treat you if it is safe to do so. Occasionally it is necessary to ask your GP or specialist to clarify your condition, just to make sure.
Is it necessary for me to get undressed?
Not always, this depends on the treatment required and where your problem is. In the case of back pain, you may be asked to uncover the area you wish to be treated as we use specialist oils and waxes for pain relief and to relax your muscles.
In all cases, clients remain modestly and appropriately covered at all times and we supply generous sized towels and have separate, private changing rooms and toilet facilities for your use.
Do I always need to book in advance?
Due to the popularity of our treatments - advance bookings are recommended, however, it is not always necessary and is worthwhile checking to see if we have any spare appointments; we will always try our hardest to fit you in as soon as possible especially if you are in pain or needing immediate assistance.
Is your Clinic open in the evenings or weekends?
We understand that some appointments need to be made out of normal working hours. We are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays up until 8pm.
We are also open on Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm for people that are unable to attend Monday to Friday.
