Relaxation Therapies

The relaxation response is triggered by the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system which sends messages to the body to relax, slow down and take a deep breath; saying in effect "it's time for rest and healing".

One of the most efficient ways of stimulating the parasympathetic branch is the use of therapeutic massage.  As the massage stimulates the relaxation response, muscular tension is released, circulation is increased and sensory receptors are activated.

Listed below are 4 treatments that are very effective in combatting stress and helping you to relax and unwind.

This full-body massage is especially suitable for people who find difficulty in relaxing or where their lifestyle produces an excess of adrenalin.

The action of long, slow, flowing Ayurvedic massage strokes and traditional East Indian and Pattaya oils, evokes a quiet and calming mantle which is deeply relaxing, allowing the body to slow to its own correct pace.

This massage concludes with a wonderfully soothing face massage using fragranced waters.
